Megan LeAnne Smith is a seeker of unknowing, a speaker of the mind-body, and a mover through the elements. In the world of performance, Megan has spent more than four years traveling across the states to share the art of fire dance and prop-centered movement arts, in addition to crafting a spoken word style that fuses the lyricism of the page with the ferocity of the stage. Alongside performances, Megan has led a multitude of workshops in hoop dancing and manipulation, contact juggling, consent education, poetry editing, and more. She has worked alongside numerous local, national, and international organizations including Southern Word, Floyd Fest, American Daredevil, Imagine Festival and Destination Imagination. She believes in the wild spirit of knowledge and seeks to foster the habit and practice of learning and collaboration in every part of her life. Currently, Megan is serving as editor for Calliope, Nashville's spoken word and arts magazine.
